1946 Oldsmobile

My husband and I Purchased a 1946 Oldsmobile. He wants to go lowriding oldskool with it...u know hydraulics and all that fancy good stuff. And i want it Origional. What do you guys suggest? Its got a great body, still has origional seats inside, some rust, but thats gonna be taken care of. What do you suggest? Origional or fixed up, pimped up? [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

You can NEVER go wrong with staying true to the original look. As opposed to when people try n 'pimp' old cars, such as the one you purchased...alot of the time it looks retarded. Everytime I see a classic like that all with the 13's n hydraulics n all that bullshit, it hurts. Old cars aren't meant to be fucked with...it defeats the purpose of having an old car.

You can always keep in OG but add Hydros or Bags and get it in the weeds. I would keep it pretty stock just do some shaving and lowering.

well since its really old i think u to should keep it simple like have it lookin nice and every thing but hydros go on somethin more newer.

I THINK U SHOULD GO AHEAD AND FIX IT UP BUT DONT OVER DO IT. CUZ SOME PEOPLE DO TOO MUCH AND U REALLY CANT APPRECIATE THE CAR ITSELF JUST GET A NICE SIMPLE PAINT JOB AND THE BASIC HYDROS AND STUFF LIKE THAT U KNOW [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Thanks for your opinions. My Husband and I finally decided. We are going to go original on the '46 Oldsmobile. We also have a 1963 Impala, I told him he can hook that one up with hydros. So its all good. Again Gracias for the opinions

LOWRIDERS AND OLD CARS DONT MIX?? HA AINT THAT SOME SHIT. EARLY CARS WERE IN WIREWHEELS??? SO I GUESS THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LOWRIDERS. IF IT WASN'T FOR MAKING OLD CARS INTO LOWS THERE WOULD BE MANY CARS IN THE PICK AND PULL RUSTING AWAY. LOWRIDNG BRINGS THOSE CARS ALIVE WITH SYLE. NOW FOR THOSE FAGS PUTTING 20'S AND TRUCK LIFTS ON THE CARS NO THATS SOME QUEER SHIT TO DO TO.
