Me I am in the middle of The Latina's Bible : The Nueva Latina's Guide To Love, Spirituality, Family, And La Vida. By Sandra Guzman
And today I went out and bought The Dirty Girls Social Club By Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez. So this is next on my to read list. I'll probably start it by next week.
I'm about halfway through "The Devil's HIghway" by Luis Urrea...
It's sort of like a documentary about a group of 26 men who in May 2001 tried crossing the border....only 12 made it alive.....the other 14 died in the dessert that they call "Devil's Highway"
It's really sad story...for example they talked about how at one point they were SO thirsty..they had no other choice but to drink their own urine....Also, once the coyotes realized they had gotten the group lost ...they take their money and abandon them in the dessert....sad....
IM READING "MYTHOLOGY OF THE AMERICAN NATIONS" ABOUT AZTECAS,MAYANS, AND INCAS.
ITS INTERESTING.BUT OBVIOUSLY THE WHITE PEOPLE LEAVE A LOT OF TRUTHS OUT OF IT.
