I had promised Lore we would go shopping so the next day we headed over to the mall.
"So .. did you like so totally love the ring Quique and I picked out for you?" Lorena asked as Jamin got into the car.
"Bitch you helped? Aww you're great! I don't think he would've done such a great job without your help" she laughed.
"Haha tell me about it, he was stuck between that one and some other one, the other one was just not cutting it, my best friend deserves the prettiest one!"
They got to the mall and fought some lady for a parking spot.
"Vieja sangrona! Afuersas se queria meter, yeah you lost it! You lost it! What?!" Lorena yelled as she turned to the lady who was now mean mugging them.
"Lore! Stop, you're making a scene.."
Jasmin grabbed Lorena by her arm and pulled her towards the mall entrance.
"That was funny" Lorena said as she laughed.
Jasmin giggled and shook her head, "You're crazy."
They went in and out of stores and tried on thousands of outfits (or so it seemed). After what seemed like an eternity of shopping they headed to the food court.
"So.. I know you're not big on the whole male stripper thing, BUT I was thinking that maybe-"
Jasmin quickly cut her off "No."
She's right, I HATE male strippers! It's gross.. I mean, some guy you don't know prancing around to techno music in a thong? Yeah, not attractive.
Lorena frowned, "Aww man, you're no fun. I guess bar and club hopping will just have to do."
"Uuu that idea sounds waaay better. I knew I did right in picking you as my maid of honor haha."
"Yeah, yeah whatever."
"Hey what you ladies up to?"
Jasmin turned to see who the unfamiliar voice belonged to.
"Hey Jorge, how you been? Sit with us." Lorena replied.
"
Great, Andres' cousin." Jasmin thought.
"Thanks. Wud up Jas, can't say hi no more o que?"
"Q-vo, whats up with you guy?"
"Nothing, same shit different day, you know how it goes."
"So who you here with?" Lorena asked.
"I'm here with Dre.. I think that fool got stuck in the toilet or somethin' he's been in there a while" he said jokingly.
"Andres?" Lore turned to look at Jasmin whose eyes were practically popping out of her head.
"Yeah, ahi viene el guey" he said as he waved him over to the table.
Andres walked over to the table cautiously, he looked as uncomfortable as Jasmin did.
"Wassup Lore" he said as he pulled the chair out.
"Hey."
He turned to Jasmin, "Hey Jas."
She turned and gave him a faint smile "Hey Dre."
Jorge sensed the the awkwardness at the table so he tried making small talk ... He failed miserably.
"Lets go fool." Andres told him
"Damn, can I finish my burger first?"
"Na, take that shit to go."
Jasmin stood up, "It's cool stay, we gotta go anyways."
"Well... so do we." Andres said as he got up.
"Oh, alright..."
"...Yeah."
They both stood there staring at eachother awkwardly. Lorena and Jorge sat at the table with WTF looks on their faces.
"Uhh... Ok so we're leaving now" Jasmin said as she grabbed her bags.
"Uhh.. yeah .. yeah so are we." He smacked Jorge on the arm "C'mon nigga."
"Alright, alright! Sheesh!" he said as he licked ketchup off his fingers "I'll hit you up later Lore."
She winked at him, "Bye."
They walked off in opposite directions. For some reason Jasmin got the urge to turn back and look at Andres, when she did she was surprised to see that he was turned back looking right at her. They both put their heads down and turned back around and kept walking.
"Talk about awkward!!" Lorena said.
"No shit."
"I'm sorry Jas, if I would've known I wouldn't have asked Jorge to sit with us."
"I know, no worries."
Andres and Jorge walked out to the parking lot and got to Andres' car.
"Ey foo, I think Lore likes me." Jorge said as he checked himself out in the mirror.
"You're stupid."
"Ey what the fuck is up your ass nigga, you been acting like a little bitch lately."
"Fuck you foo."
"Is it cuz of Jasmin guey?"
Andres stayed silent.
"Man... My bad dog."
"Its whatever nigga."
It wasn't whatever though, Andres felt an unbearable pain. How could the love of his life be getting married to some other guy?
They were supposed to get married and have a happily ever after ending. If only he hadn't made her wait. While he was out having fun, some other guy came along and stole her heart. He thought she would wait for him forever, but he was wrong.
