Default Native American Ancestry

Hello all. I'm making this thread out of curiosity because recently I found out that I had Hopi and Dine ancestry on my father's side of the family, which goes east into the southern sunbelt. My mother's side has some, but I'm not sure exactly what. My grandfather is extremely dark with straight black hair so I suspect he must have some strong admixture, but of what I don't know. I'll have to research that more in depth. I'm going to ask him the next time I see him. Anyway, how about the rest of the members on brownpride? Do you have at least 1/16 NA ancestry, and if so, do you know of what it is?

From my family tree, I only done my mom. To summarize it, even though my grandpa was native mix, he was part Nahua & Manso. My dad I have no idea.

My mom is Oglala Lakota from Pine Ridge South Dakota, and my dad is choctaw, kiowa, and caddo. From Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I'm mixed with four different tribes from North America

@tep I have never heard of Manso. What part of Mexico do they inhabit?

@SNA How did your family end up in Colorado? That's an interesting story. I'm wondering if you speak any of the languages.

They are in the New Mexico, Texas, & a bit of Chihuahua.

What I think is funny is if you do research on the tribe, according to books online say they're extinct even though I know & people I know of the tribe along, some people know of the tribe, & a very few who speak the language.

All I can say is that I'm a mutt! LOL!! Mexican, Native (Northern Arapaho, Oglala Sioux, Crow), French Candian, Irish and White. I've been trying to find out about my mexican side since my grandpa died before I was even thought up - so if anybody knows anything about Padilla from New Mexico - could you help me out??
