Parenthood ...

ok i had to start a thread about this non sense. whit all do respect to the ladies that have had a kid at a young age.

but ok:

im 24 with no kids. I don't want to have a kid any time soon due to my personal life [work, school, bills] all those things that keep me away from having a baby.

I was at my house during my lunch brake when my sister in law arrived we started talking about relationships and the famous "baby" talk they all have with me. She started telling me that i should have a kid cus im way too old already and me having a baby at age 27 or 28 is a big No! i let her know my reasons as of why i don't want a kid any time soon and things got a little uncomfortable b/c she started saying all this non sense she had my niece at age 15 personally a girl that has a kid at age 15 is not ready what so ever and as times goes one they will for sure want to go out and party with out giving a damn about the child.

My question is, Do you guys think that having a kid at age 27 or 28 before 30 its not a good decision?

Keep in mind, that around that age most of the people that have a well planed life live well with not so many worries.

Your sister is full of it. I definitely think you're on the brighter path on this decision. 27-30 years old is a good time to have a kid. You are financially prepared and mentally prepared to have a kid far more than you would be if you were 15-20 years of age. This is a smart decision in my opinion. I wouldn't even take what she says seriously. Do what you feel is right for yourself. Never let someone sway you like that.

i dont plan on having no mini mac's until im 28 29 cuz i wanna be very financially stable! most parents at my work had there first kid after 30!

i dont think its a bad age, thats when im planning to have kids.
Most my family had kids before the age of 17. Your sister-in-law sounds like my aunts husband; he said that 25 was too old to have kids and that we should start now and if we do then everyone is here to help. I was like NO, i wanna support my baby on my own, i want to have a house first, maybe be married first, and i wanna turn 21 first too, i wanna party and so on. To be honest im still a kid.
Medically it ok to have kids at 27-30yrs old; the baby should be fine and healthy if so

yeah, those are my thoughts i have many things in life that i want to accomplish before i have a kid. It just seems funny how a lot of "people" think that having a kid before 25 is smart. Don't get me wrong i've seen a lot of girls become more mature if they have kids by age 15-20 but most of them are out of it not even close.

True!!

But don't listen to her. If you don't want to have kids until you believe you are ready to, then wait, don't do it just because everyone else tells you different. I'll tell you it is hard having a kid at a young age. A lot of girls get crazy and are out partying every weekend while the baby is at grandma's house. I don't think that's right. Props to you for waiting.

Age does not define a parent, nor maturity level. U will know when the time comes that you want a can handle a baby. Y bring a kid into the world that you are not ready to commit yourself too. Anyone can have a baby but to raise a strong woman or good man you have to give your all 100%.
