The FUCKING Re-Birth of BULLSHIT Racism

Hey yall, ya know I been thinking about all this racist shit I been reading on the internet on this website. And I noticed its not just us on the website, but its society in general. Why do people act this way, I mean I know I made a post a while back on racism but no one cared…why is that? Is this topic not important to society…because for society’s wellbeing ya gotta be able to depend on others…and not just your own race, but everyone!

I often get bitched at for my various ideas and thoughts. But we all have our own point of view, even though mine runs counter to many folks in cyberspace, and the conservatives on the Net don't hesitate to e-mail their displeasure. That's how it should be. The beauty of this site is that it is interactive. What surprises me is what people react to and how they react.

That's where I'm coming from when I write about affirmative action and anti-discrimination laws as something that is still necessary in a nation where racism, sexism, anti-Semitism and homophobia are deeply imbedded in the culture. But some of the e-mails I've gotten suggests otherwise. Here's a sample of the comments that I received. The spelling and syntax has been cleaned up, and the identities of the authors have been deleted.

- ``I just wish sniveling wimps like yourself would quit whining and go get a life. Try doing some honest work, instead of irritating people with failed theories.''
- ``If you don't like being you, then why don't you paint yourself another color?''
- ``Congratulations - never seen such a load of shit all in one place.''
- ``There is more discrimination in the world against people like you than you can see from your sheltered little world. Maybe you should take a REAL look at what's going before you create such an irresponsible piece of garbage like your posts.''
- ``I think minorities are the problem of our economic system. (They) sit at home all day collecting welfare, then at night sell their drugs.''
- ``If you want to blame someone, blame yourself and not me. If the minorities can't cut it, it's not my fault. Minorities in this country have been given (and I mean GIVEN) every opportunity to succeed and have failed in every facet. I don't owe any minority one GODDAMN THING. If you for one second think you can make anyone who has any brains at all believe this shit, you need to make a doctor's appointment. What's going to happen to you when THEY are the majority?''

Racial resentment is still a powerful force. Everyone, regardless of color or gender, is facing the same problems that stem from a stagnant and inequitable economic system with fewer opportunities. By scapegoating women and people of color for all of our woes, our political leaders deflect the blame away from themselves and the corporate agenda they represent.

It's not about offering opportunities to unqualified people. It is not reverse discrimination against white males. These are false arguments. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, there have been 3,000 discrimination suits brought before federal district courts between 1990 and 1994. Fewer than 100 have dealt with reverse discrimination and only six cases of reverse discrimination have been substantiated.
White males have hardly been victimized by affirmative action. The unemployment rate for people of color has been consistently double that of whites. Overall, women still earn 71 cents for every dollar a man earns, and African Americans, Latinos, Asian Americans and Native Americans earn even less. White students still comprise nearly 80 percent of the total student population at private and public four-year colleges and universities.

This is not whining. This is the reality of what is happening in this country today. We as a nation are unwilling to confront the lack of true equality and diversity in our society, and we will ultimately pay a terrible price for it.

I feel you mija, racism is just as bad as ever. I think gente hide it more in public and alot of them use the net to release their anxieties that they are unable to do in public. Either way its not right but its always going to be there, all you can do is give luv and respect and hope someone will catch some of that and pass it on. Its a cold world mija, your ideas are beautiful and kind pero the world isnt ready for this yet. Its going to be a long struggle pero one day we will be there. Mucho respeto.

Tambien when the economy is in the toilet and the country's at war people use that as an excuse to be more racist. I know in Cali alot of white people are having a hard time dealing with the fact that in 30 years this state will be a majority of RAZA. Whites will be the minority in California. We're just reclaiming the land and they can't deal with it.
