Her argument is that even though its human instinct to stay alive and adapt to certain conditions its still not possible for people whom aren't crazy to commit such inhumane acts of violence and that something inside would click before the shot went off and the other person hit the floor.

Give her the scenario of a parent protecting the family from an intruder. Even the most girly girl would pull a trigger.

I spent all weekend doing that, I have a feeling she'll fail me just based on me not agreeing with her and debating back.

just like when we are kids and someone takes a toy from us... the first reaction is to go over there HIT the kid and take it back.. it's not until u start growing ... and someone teaches u that hitting to get something is wrong.

But placed in dramatic or life threatening situations in which u have the opportunity to defend ur life... you would do it...

adrenaline works in crazy ways.... when it hits u tend to do some crazy things to get out of the acute situation.... it's that Fight or Flight response from the systemic nervous system.
