Do you think any of those 3 countries would be able to hold their own without help from countries that have Capitalism or a hybrid of Socialism/Capitalism?
Norway and Sweden leech off the power and protection of Germany, France, and UK.
Singapore gets it's protection from China because of it's high Han population. Although eventually China will probably absorb Singapore.
Most of the countries that have Socialist economic systems are even less self sufficient then Capitalist systems. And when Capitalist systems fail it is usually a product of naive idiots trying to do something radical to "help" the system. Like trying to give everyone a home when some people simply can't afford a home. It sounds nice on paper but when someone can't afford it giving them a home only to have them be forced to pay high bills or live on the streets seems like cruel and unusual punishment.
To Akbar,
Also about a Socialist Government System. Who exactly would redistribute the wealth? What about the people who disagree with the person who redistributes the wealth? Will the person who the redistributes wealth give the people who he disagrees with equal wealth as to those he agrees with? You will never get a Government where people would willingly give the same amount of money and property to those they disagree with as those they agree with.
Also what about the people who do more work then me? What about the people who do less work then me? Will we all get the same amount even if I work harder then someone else? Why would I continue to work hard if I know I won't get paid more for it?
