I remember those days, so dark they were
My life a blur, my heart just couldn't endure
To die, I wished suicide, in the morning it would be in the front page
But then I saw my little boys eyes, right when I held the gun tight, filled with rage
In my hand, people couldn't understand my pain, my insaneness
Quicker then the bullet they would judge, holding a deep grudge
While I was going insane, hearing the voices inside of my head
Telling me it would be better to be dead, better to be dead was all that was said
My tears kept rolling down my cheek, onto the floor they would land
Dropping to my knees, cause on my two feet, no more I could stand
I pressed the gun with so much strength on the side of my head
While my tears kept coming, my blood would soon be filled with lead
Trying to disregard all the time I bled, but they were to many to just let go
The tears so many I shed, pleading no more, no more
Then a laugh echoed in the back of my mind,
as the seconds ticked by, soon it would be time
The laugh became familiar, it was the memories I held on all this time
Like the tattoo on my chest, that keeps your memory never at rest
I’m sorry that I tried, I’m sorry to myself I lied, all I do is cry and cry
You don't know the pain, penetration of a blade into my soul
Turning my warm blood into ice stone cold
Into the gutter I throw the gun away, I turn around and start walking away
I want to go back, so I drop down on my knees, and I pray, I just pray
Very emotional!
I know sometimes I feel that way but I think about my babyboy and I take it back
Life isnt Easy, you just gotta keep your head up!

Joe, enjoyed reading this piece. I think everyone of us, if not most of us, has thought about "IT". things get hard and sometimes we dont see an end to the hardships....but like Pac said....."If you can make it thru the night there's a brighter day"....stay up.
