i cant sit up there and hate on what some of the people wrote about their opinions on blacks in this thread, but at the same time I cannot agree with it because i am a black latina as well as havin traces of white and native american in me too. But i do think that people hate because it is what they were taught, or could have decided to follow the trend and dislike whatever race because people to close to them did it too. people cannot help the skin color that they are in, so there are people hate them for that? It doesn't make any sense, but every race does there share of talkin shit about each race that doesn't share their skintone sometime in some pathway of life. Its so fucked up to see it visually because en mi pais tenemos gente quien son afro-latinos but purposely put different races of indian such as taino on surveys that are turned into the government because of shame that other people have placed upon them. But i do wonder why latinos hate blacks, because it is apart of our culture, so latinos hating blacks is a form of them hating themselves in my opinion. I don't think that it is appropriate to ask why do mexicans hate blacks when the question is why is their racism period? ~1~
Tension between Mexicans and blacks have grown from the streets to the schools and vice versa. Not everyone carries hate for one or the other. I don't hate blacks. Others have stronger opinions about them, but there opinions do not develop from thier culture or thier hate about themselves. A person should always think for oneself.
here is another way of looking at this article, why did the "latina" put all the blame on the mexicans? supposably her own kind while not mentioning the crimes blacks commit against all races? i think there is a double standard here.....and i think that latinas is a "bitch" for blaming mexicans for racism.
...I don't have many black friends, and the ones I do have had to gain my trust slowly over a long duration (years) of time. This is an acquired way of thinking, and my parents had nothing to do with it...
But gringos you trust with your life? Of course not.
Everyone has to gain your "trust slowly over a long...time", because we don't trust anybody easily. We don't trust our women, our tios, our priests. Nobody. So, what? Mistrust of every living thing is part of being Mexican -it's why we're not extinct. People don't like it, to hell with them!
We're also crazy ambitious, GREAT in bed. Lucky us.
Nothing wrong with worrying about the safety of your family or questioning people's motives for doing what they do? Blacks, whites or whoever. There's nothing wrong with wanting to know where your family is at all times ..or making your kids wear little ankle alarms that go off when they leave the house. My father used to drive us loco with this stuff, but he was being a man. What's wrong with that?
Sometimes, we take the jealousy thing a little far. Maybe.

Joking aside, ..I think Mexicans are more in-your-face with hostility or mistrust of Black Americans, because blacks are more open about not trusting or not liking Mexicans. The whites who don't trust Mexicans are more undercover about it; so Mexicans are more undercover about hostilty for whites. With whites and Mexicans, much is unspoken and always has been.
With Mexicans and blacks, you can hear us in the next county, but, I don't think we're singling out blacks or any other group for hatred.
I don't hate blacks, I've just had many negative experiences with black thugs in the past, so I can't help but to feel cynical whenever meeting one. It has nothing to do with skin tone, so don't give me that bullshít. These worthless pieces of trash think they can bully anyone whenever they have the upper hand. It was twenty of them and one of me. What did they have to lose? Let's not sugar coat anything, these guys were níggers, plain and simple. I grew up hating them and would hurt every one of them for what they did to my friends and family. Even today, I don't trust them at all; I wouldn't hesitate to attack one if I felt I or someone I cared about was in danger. I don't have many black friends, and the ones I do have had to gain my trust slowly over a long duration (years) of time. This is an acquired way of thinking, and my parents had nothing to do with it, so don't go around saying racism is always handed down from parents to children. Blacks have been targeting Hispanics for years, because they see them as vulnerable and weak. Think back to the LA Riots. Many innocent people were mauled, and for what? Because blackie was angry.
There are other things that piss me off: afrocentrists, idiots who use the race card too much, crybabies, etc but racist thugs are my main problem.
You know, people are individuals, and the fact that only a certain group of your friends has to gain your trust over a period time in order to be your good friend is sickening... I never look at people as races, just personalities, and am willing to trust anyone who seems worthy of it...
